Media Request Options - Media Library and File Uploads

Setting Up Your Applicants’ Media Library

The Media Library lets applicants upload images, videos, audio, or documents to their account portfolio. They can then attach any of those files to their applications.

Last updated on 08 Apr, 2026

🔛 Step 1: Turn Desired Media Types On or Off

Choose which file types applicants can upload and store in their library.

  1. Navigate to the Front End Manager tab → Media Library Module – Media section.

  2. Locate the media types: Images, Videos, Audio, Documents

  3. Select Yes from the dropdown for each of the four media types you would like to allow applicants to upload.

ℹ️ Step 2: Add Text for the Media Library

Provide clear instructions that applicants will see on their Media Library pages.

  1. Go to Front End Manager tab → Media Library Module → Text section.

  2. Type your own instructions in the text boxes, or click Load Default Text to use our pre-written help notes.

  3. Sign in as a test applicant to preview the Media Library and confirm your text looks correct and is easy to follow.

  4. Click Update to save your media selection and text.

📝 Notes:

  • Each applicant has 250 MB of storage by default; you can buy more if needed.

  • Turning off all four media types hides the Media Library.

  • Additional media parameters (type, size, minimum/maximum, etc.) can be set within each application.

  • Keep your Media Library settings broad to cover all applications’ media needs.

  • Use a tool like wordtohtml.net to add formatted text to any of the text fields.

⚠️ Alert: If you change our default text, clicking Load Default Text again will erase your work and replace it with the original version.

If you prefer not to use the Media Library, you can instead collect files with simple File Upload questions on a custom narrative page. Learn more about pros and cons of each media option.
